May/June 2019, Day 2: Animal Kingdom

We were all excited for this day!  The park had an 8:00 opening, and since we didn't have fastpasses for flight of passage, we were parking the car by 6:30.

These little girls were ready for the day.  This early start resulted in us being right up front at the main entrance.

While we waited for the park to truly open, LittleCJC decided to map out her day and LittleCGC decided to take a little nap.

I don't remember when they actually opened the gate, but we moved as quickly as we could with our double stroller once they did to stay as close to the front as possible.  Here we are held on the bridge at 7:20

They must have released us from here at 7:30, and us girls jumped in line while Patrick stayed with LittleCGC.

We did pretty good with our plan and before the park officially opened, we had already rode Flight of Passage, attraction #1.

8:00
With the park officially opened and the first ride under our belt, LittleCJC needed to stop for a popular photo wall picture that she spotted at the ride exit.... The moss wall.

Before immediately swapping riders, we decided to jump into line at Na'Vi River Journey, attraction #2 before that line got too big.

This ride isn't thrilling, but it's beautiful and I love every ride that we can all ride together.  When we finished our river journey, we went back to Flight of Passage, attraction #3 and used our rider swap passes so that Patrick could ride too.

9:00

With our first ride priority accomplished, we started making our way to another popular ride before the lines grew there too.  As we were crossing the park though, we came across a photographer and decided to stop.

After our photo stop, we continued on to Kali River Rapids, attraction #4.  I guess she was a little excited.

For some reason, before swapping riders, we decided to walk through the jungle trek first.  We didn't spend long here though and were quickly back at Kali River Rapids, attraction #5.

10:00
After our time in Asia, we were ready to use our first fastpass. So, we crossed the park again, while LittleCGC apparently had a little snack.

We then rode Kilimanjaro Safari, attraction #6.

LittleCGC decided that it was a good time for another nap.

11:00
As usual, we saw so many animals, but I'll save you from all those photos.  When we finished our safari, we headed back to Asia to use our next fastpass at Expedition Everest, attraction #7.

This time, we immediately swapped riders also making Expedition Everest, attraction #8.

12:00
At this point, we weren't quite ready to stop for lunch, but the girls did decide on a little snack.

Poor LittleCGC only got the stick.  Thank goodness they were both happy about it and we then made our way to DinoLand.  LittleCJC talked her daddy into playing a few of the games here.

I think these are a little silly myself, to spend time and money when at Disney here, but she loves it, and maybe it's good for her, since she obviously doesn't always win.

There also happened to be a photographer here at this moment, so she caught a few shots too.

With all her tickets spent, we were able to move away from the games and move on to Triceratops Spin, attraction #9.

Little miss took control of our dino for us.

When we got off the ride, we stopped by Donald's Dino Bash for a little party.

1:00
From here, it only made sense to head to the dinosaur ride.  On the way, though, we ran into a few characters.  First up, Chip and Dale, characters #1 and #2.

LittleCJC was so excited to show off her new toy that she just won from the games.

Even LittleCGC seemed to start liking these characters.

We barely moved up the pathway, before we ran into another character.  This time, it was Daisy, character #3.

Eventually, we made it to Dinosaur, attraction #10.

While we were on the ride, Patrick and LittleCGC found Pluto, character #4.

I love how she's too interested in Pluto to even look at the photographer.

2:00
When we got off the ride, LittleCJC found Pluto too.

We decided that if we were going to watch the Finding Nemo show today, we better hurry up and catch the 2:30 show.  We were lucky and got in with no problem.  So, attraction #11, Finding Nemo the Musical. I know some people say you can skip this show, but we all love it.

3:00
By the time the show ended, we all agreed it was way past lunch time and so we headed to Satu'li Canteen to eat.

4:00
When we finished eating, we left the restaurant just in time to catch an ACE demonstration.

We then took a little time for some pictures in the land of Pandora.

Next up on our plan was the 5:00 show of Festival of the Lion King.  However, we had a little time before we needed to be there and we thought we had just enough time to catch up with Pocahontas, character #5.

5:00
We made it into the theater and enjoyed Festival of the Lion King, attraction #12, even if the girls were way too wild waiting for the show to start.

After the show, LittleCJC had her meltdown.  It never fails and she seems to have one every trip.  Luckily it's only one and I guess I should have been happy that we got it over with already for this trip.  I don't even remember what the problem was, but she completely melted and collapsed to the ground refusing to move.

6:00
Eventually, LittleCJC and Daddy worked out their problems and made up.  After the threat of leaving the park passed, we continued on to meet with Mickey and Minnie, characters #6 and #7.

I love how my girls are still excited to see all these characters.

After visiting with Mickey and Minnie, we decided maybe we all needed a little break.  I needed to nurse LittleCGC anyway, so we decided to check out the baby care center.  It was nice to get a little break in the AC and just calm down for a bit.  I nursed LittleCGC, changed her diaper, and let her crawl around for a little time, while LittleCJC watched a movie and colored a picture.

These baby centers vary from park to park, as to how they're set up, but they all offer a nice place to get away from the craziness of a park.  They all include changing tables and a quiet place to nurse or pump.  They also sale some baby items that you may need, and this one had a nice area for families to wait or in our case for little miss to toddle and crawl around.

7:00
When we were eventually all ready to move on, we ended up stopping in Africa for some ice cream before circling back to Pandora again where we watched the drum circle show.

After the show, we were ready to cross the park again, but not before stopping for another picture.

8:00

With our picture diva taken care of we decided to stop in at the tree of life for It's Tough to be a Bug, attraction #13.

I always wonder if this is going to be the time that this show is too scary for my kids, but they always do great and think the show is fun.  With that successfully done, we went ahead and made our way to our seats for the river of lights show.  LittleCJC had fun dancing around until it started to get a little more crowded.

9:00
We had great seats and all enjoyed the show.

Before leaving the park, we decided to take one more visit to Pandora to see it all lit up at night.

LittleCJC fell asleep in the stroller, so she missed out on the pictures.  It was a long day, but we all had so much fun.
