Weekend Recap
We had such a great weekend, full of celebrations! We traveled up to Bedford on Friday where we had a surprise party for Patrick's grandma. She turned 88 this weekend.
Patrick also has a cousin that just had their baby last week, so we were able to visit with them and their little cutie. Littlecjc was so cute wanting to hold the baby's hand and eventually the baby herself. When they were getting ready to leave, she even helped strap her in her car seat and carry her to their car.
The town of Bedford also had their 4th of July celebrations this weekend, so naturally we took those in too. I have to admit, I was surprised by the parade. Not that it was an amazing parade to watch, but it was really long. Littlecjc loved watching to see what type of vehicle would come around the corner next. She also left with a large bag full of candy.
That evening, we went back to the square for their fireworks. Littlecjc was such a big girl carrying her own chair.
The fireworks display was very nice and the fireworks seemed so close overhead, it was pretty cool.
WeOn Sunday, we traveled back home for church, and then were pretty lazy the rest of the day. Actually, I feel like I spent most of the day on the computer. Before leaving Bedford, we were able to select our fastpasses for our next Disney trip. I'll try to write a post about this later, but I will say we were very happy with what we were able to get. We also worked on getting photos ready for Littlecjc's autograph book. I tried retrieving these differently this time, and it seemed to take a lot longer than usual, but it will always be easier now for future trips. Again, I'd like to write a post about Littlecjc's autograph books, we will see when it actually gets done.
Hello Monday
Here's your peak at this week.
Patrick is working today, but he's off tomorrow for the holiday. I know we'll go downtown and watch the fireworks tomorrow, but we haven't decided about tonight yet. There are other options for fireworks for this evening that we might watch, but we'll see how the day ends up going. After Tuesday, it's a pretty normal week again. Next weekend we have a late 4th of July party that we plan on attending at my parent's boat club.
Hello Binge List
I know I missed last week's post, if not the last two so let me catch you up on what we've been watching. We finished the new season of House of Cards and Baby Daddy and recently started watching the new Netflix series Glow. Honestly, I'm still going back and forth on this one. As for what I've been watching without Patrick, I finished the new season of Jane the Virgin, which I may have already told you. I then moved on to the next season of Grey's Anatomy, which I have almost finished as well.
Hello New Reads
I recently finished two books Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg. The latter was an easy read that took me back, since I really enjoyed the movie when I was younger but haven't seen it in years. Station Eleven however, is probably the best book I've read so far this year. I really enjoyed this book. Currently, I'm reading The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney. So far it's been enjoyable but I'm not hooked yet.
I think that's all for today.
Happy Monday everyone....
and Happy 4th of July!
