Weekend Recap
Saturday morning, we took advantage of the warm weather before the rain rolled in, and went to the local zoo. I think I've mentioned our zoo before, but we love our local zoo. We are members and go there often especially when we just want to get out of the house, but don't really have anything to do.
Hello Monday
Here's your peek at this week.
Littlecjc also decided that her pretend food is not good enough this weekend and made this interesting lunch for daddy.
She was so proud of herself, not at all phased by the mess. Daddy's lunch contained an egg (thankfully a hard-boiled one) topped with strawberry syrup, ranch dressing, sun-dried tomatoes, grated Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper. Her concoction was spilling over the top, over the counter, and to the floor.
Besides this hot mess, Littlecjc has also started showing her independence in her choice of clothing. This is how she chose to go out when we ran to the store.
Here's your peek at this week.
There's not much going on this week since the local school's are out for spring break many of our community activities have opted to cancel this week as well. I had hoped to fill our schedule with some hikes, but it also looks like a lot of rain this week.
Hello Whole30 week 4
Almost done! THANK GOODNESS! This weekend was hard. According to the general timeline, I should be having boundless energy and feel amazing. Instead, I found myself snapping at Littlecjc and I still want to eat sugar-filled foods, so then I was more upset that I couldn't. Surprisingly, it was Patrick that helped me through this weekend. I expressed that I was about over it and he told me how good I had been doing and reminded me that I was almost done. So here's some of what I ate last week.
The first photo may not look that great, but it is probably my favorite meal so far that I've had during my Whole30 program. It's a sausage pizza twice baked potato and it was so good.
Hello Menu Plan
I've officially ran out of new meals that I'm willing to try. Any other new meals I've found that look good all contain ingredients that I'm not going to buy this close to the end of my program. So, this week they are all repeats, with the exception of our Disney dinner.
Monday - salad with chicken
Tuesday - buffalo chicken and broccoli with cauliflower rice
Wednesday - sausage pizza sweet potato
Thursday - beef and cabbage skillet
Friday - I think we are going to my in-laws so we will see
Saturday - Dublin Coddle
Sunday - Ratatouille
Hello New Book
This morning, I finished Uprooted. I think I probably should have read this book instead of listening to it. That being said, I didn't get into it as much as I thought I would, but it was okay. I decided my next audiobook would be Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter. I picked this book, since it was listed as a favorite book by one of my favorite authors, Kristin Hannah.
I think that's it for today.
Happy Monday Everyone!
