May/June 2019, Day 7 & 8: Non Park Days

If you read my last FBF post, you know that the reason behind this Disney trip was a wedding.  So, we did not go to the park for these two days due to the rehearsal and the wedding itself.  Instead, on this first non-park day, we went to the outlet mall and spent some time in the pool.

Here's LittleCJC all decked out in her new exploration gear from the Disney outlet store.

Both girls loved the pool.  I don't remember what Grandma did with the girls that evening, but Patrick and I had an enjoyable evening attending the rehearsal and then they hosted drinks afterwards.  This was the first Greek Orthodox wedding for both Patrick and I so it was very interesting and the church was beautiful.

On the day of the wedding, I dropped Patrick off and then stopped by another mall closer to the venue until closer to the time of the wedding when I returned.  Then, after the wedding, Patrick stayed with the wedding party and I actually returned back to the hotel to nurse LittleCGC before going to the reception that evening.  Both the wedding and the reception were beautiful and Patrick and I had a great time visiting with friends that we hadn't seen in a long time.

As for Grandma and the girls, they explored the All-Star hotels while we were gone.

I think they all had fun too.  It was a nice little break from our crazy park days.

May/June 2019, Day 6: Magic Kingdom, Hoop Dee Doo

This was another day at Magic Kingdom and after learning that Grandma had never been to the Hoop Dee Doo, we decided that we would change that tonight.  We thought she would like this show, and we were lucky to find tickets for this evenings late show.  So, we knew it would be another long day, but that didn't stop us from getting our early start.  LittleCJC didn't seem to mind.

9:00

When the park opened at 9, we decided to stop in and visit Mickey and Minnie, characters #1 and #2 first thing, and LittleCGC was so excited to see them even if she was lacking in patience.

When we finished visiting with Mickey and Minnie, LittleCGC needed a diaper change so we crossed Main St and LittleCJC discovered that Snow White, character #3 didn't have a line, so she stopped in for a visit while I took care of LittleCGC.

LittleCJC then noticed that the Main Street Vehichles, attraction #1 were out so she talked her daddy into riding up Main Street with her while Grandma and I walked with LittleCGC and the stroller.

She loved it.

10:00

By now, it was already time for our first fastpass at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, attraction #2.

LittleCJC had recently watched some videos on YouTube about hidden mickeys and at this point, she decided she needed to find some that she had seen on this video.  So we searched the Pooh treehouse for these finds.

She was so excited to show off her findings to us all.  Once we had all seen them, we were able to swap riders for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, attraction #3.  LittleCJC also searched for hidden mickeys on this ride.

With both groups done with this ride, we decided to go to the circus area in search of a friend that works in this area.  We found him working the play area of Dumbo.

11:00
After visiting and playing here for a while, we moved on to ride Dumbo, attraction #4.

We were ready for a snack by now, and we knew of a new snack in Tomorrowland that seemed perfect for LittleCJC so we decided now was the time to try this new snack.

The donut was delicious and obviously big enough for us all to share.  When we were done, we made our way to Frontierland to use our next fastpass at Big Thunder Mountain, attraction #5.  We immediately swapped riders so Big Thunder Mountain was also attraction #6.

12:00
By the time both groups finished riding, we were able to use our next fastpass, luckily right next door at Splash Mountain, attraction #7.

We then swapped riders again, also making Splash Mountain, attraction #8.

This is a long (but fun) ride, so even with a fastpass, it still takes a while to ride twice like this.

2:00
We then moved into Fantasyland to visit with Cinderella, character #4.

At this time, when you met Cinderella here, you also met Elena, character #5.

After our visit with both princesses, we stopped in at Pinocchio's for some lunch.  Daddy even treated LittleCJC with the new Rapunzel dessert.

Super cute and tasty.

3:00
I have a gap here in my vacation notes and I have no idea what we did.

4:00
Maybe the line was just really long here, but this isn't something we would normally wait too long for.  So whether I missed something or not, the next thing I know for sure, is that we went to Enchanted Tales with Belle, attraction #9, Belle, character #6.

This time during the story, LittleCJC was a plate.

After sharing our story with Belle, we decided we needed to also visit with Merida, character #7.

LittleCGC was so excited for Merida, she was about to jump out of my arms.

LittleCJC asked Merida if she could take this specific picture.

5:00
With this last character stop done, we moved on to Tomorrowland and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, attraction #10.

Actually, Grandma, LittleCGC and I rode the peoplemover while Daddy and LittleCJC waited for Astro Orbitors, attraction #11.

Once they landed back on the ground level, we ran into some friends.  In fact, the reason behind this trip was for a friend's wedding.  So we were surprised to find the bride, groom, and their families here.  We had a nice little visit, not wanting to keep them too long though.

6:00
Staying close, we decided to check out Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, attraction #12.

We were rewarded by Patrick being called out as the boogie man.  If you know, you know, lol and he was great.  LittleCJC was really in the floss dance stage at this time so she loved that he even attempted a little flossing.  After the show, we decided to ride Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, attraction #13.

We were starting to talk about moving to the front of the park, and LittleCJC decided first she needed to also ride Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, attraction #14.

We wanted to have plenty of time to get to Fort Wilderness, but we're never eager to leave so we decided to head to the castle for a picture.

7:00
Before leaving, we stopped in to visit with Tinkerbell, character #8.

By now, we really did need to finally leave the park.  To get to Fort Wilderness, we took the boat transportation.

8:00
We of course made it with plenty of time, but if you haven't figured it out yet, we always like to be early.  We love this show and I recommend it to everyone.  It's all you can eat and drink family style eating and it's perfect for families, because adults can appreciate all the jokes and improvisations and the show itself does seem geared toward adults.  However, kids love this show too, because it is high energy and so much fun.

It was almost 10:30 by time we left Fort Wilderness, but LittleCJC was still hanging in there.

We then had to take the boat back to Magic Kingdom, and then we chose the monorail back to the parking lot.  It did make for a late night, but it was so much fun sharing the Hoop Dee Doo experience with Grandma.
