Weekend Recap
Friday night, Patrick and Littlecjc went to their daddy/daughter dance that I mentioned last week.
She seemed to have a great time. Patrick, on the other hand, was a little less enthused when they got home. He said that she wouldn't dance with him, other than to run around him. I think it was great for both of them.
Saturday was pretty laid back, but Sunday we ended up hosting an impromptu family dinner. Since it was our Disney Dinner night, though, you'll have to check back on Thursday for those details.
Hello Monday
Here's your peek at this week, before the ink.
Surprise, it's The Princess and the Frog this week in honor of Mardi Gras.
Hello Fastpasses
We're getting closer to our Disney trip! This week, we get to select our fastpasses! Littlecjc is so close to the 40 inches marker that would allow her to ride even more big kid rides. I don't know if she will be tall enough or if she will even want to ride all those rides, but this fact definitely changes my thoughts for our fastpasses. Keep an eye out for a more detailed post about this!
Hello Spring Weather
We are currently having some crazy warm weather for this time of year this week and I'm already loving it. We reconnected with some of our Hike it Baby friends already this morning, and I'm looking forward to more great walks this week.
Hello New Books
Although I'm still working on Dragonfly in Amber, I did finally finish the Wolves of Mercy Falls series. If I was unsure about the first three books in the series, there was no question about my thoughts on the final book. Let's just say that it's a good thing that the final book wasn't the first book. I did not really care for it at all. I think the main problem is that the main character/narrator was the new character introduced in book 3 and the previous main characters weren't even in the final book. And it didn't really have anything to do with any of the previous issues the characters faced in the first three books. Anyway, this week I'm listening to The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen. This book is fulfilling one of the more random categories, a book written or set in Scandinavia. This is a detective mystery book which is not my typical read, but so far it's been an easy, enjoyable read.
Hello Binge List
I just finished season one of Outlander, but don't want to start season two until I finish Dragonfly in Amber. I also binged last week on Santa Clarita Diet, finishing the 10 episodes released. So, I'm either going to have to start something new that's still undecided or else I'm going to get more done this week. We will see. If you have binge-worthy suggestions, feel free to leave those in a comment.

Hello Menu
Last week was not so great in the food department. However, after procrastinating almost two full weeks, I've finally made it to the grocery store and I'm going to get back on track this week.
Monday - leftovers from last night's family dinner
Tuesday - Tilapia
Wednesday - Mini meatloaf peppers *new recipie
Thursday - Basalmic chicken & veggies *new recipie
Friday - let's be honest, I'm not planning anything since I haven't cooked the last 5 Fridays anyway
I plan on working on my meal plans for next month this week, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.
I think that's it for today. Have a great week!

We are getting the grill out tonight to take advantage of this great weather! Meal suggestion: Alfredo pizza. It's on my menu this week for Wednesday. I'm using your alfredo sauce recipe as the pizza sauce, a pre-made pizza crust from Schnuck's, Italian blend cheese, spinach, mushrooms, chicken, and red onions. I've done it once before and it was delish! I think you and Patrick would like it. I doubled your recipe and made the sauce last week. I used half of it for a pasta bake, and I've had some here and there on garlic bread at lunch... the rest is being used on pizza this week! Happy Monday! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! You're right, Patrick will love that pizza. I'll definitely have to make that next month!
