It's Hollywood Studios day! We had done the most research for this park before this trip. We had never ridden Rise of the Resistance, so we really wanted to get a boarding group. I had also researched how to attack this park and still be able to get everything in. At this point, there weren't any fastpasses and you may think that since this park doesn't have as many attractions it wouldn't be that difficult. However, with fewer attractions, this meant that all the lines were consistently getting really long here. We also needed to rider swap almost everything in this park. So, this was definitely the day I was stressing about the most.
Patrick and I were up and ready, but unfortunately we were unable to get one of the morning boarding groups that dropped at 7:00. We were pretty sad, but we didn't want it to ruin our day and we knew we had another chance during the afternoon drop. We then got our girls up and ready for the day. We drove over to Hollywood Studios and were among some of the first cars into the lot. When we entered the park, we headed down Sunset Blvd first. Patrick went to Tower of Terror first. We were unable to persuade LittleCJC to ride with him, but we made her scan her band with me for the child swap in hopes that I could convince her to ride with me. While waiting for Patrick, the girls had a poptart breakfast.

I was able to convince her to ride with me, but unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to take the picture like Daddy. This was the first time, possibly since before kids, that we didn't have the photopass. With masks being required and no characters meeting, we did not think it was worth it this time.
While LittleCJC and I were still on Tower of Terror, Patrick was keeping an eye on Rock n' Roller Coasters line. When it reached out to Sunset Blvd, he went ahead and jumped in line. This was something that seemed so strange this trip, standing in lines everywhere. Since lines were still spaced at 6ft apart, they extended and twist and turned everywhere.
Patrick had great timing, and LittleCJC and I were able to join him while he was still in the courtyard.
LittleCJC was so excited as this was the first time she was tall enough to ride this one.
While LittleCJC and I waited in the line for Rock n' Roller Coaster, Patrick took LittleCGC over to look at the Cars vehicles.
This time I did take a picture of the on ride photo, even though it's not great. Her eyes were so big. She loved it.
Of course, we immediately switched places and she rode again with Patrick.
With both attractions down Sunset Blvd done, we made our way to Toy Story Land. Up first, Toy Story Mania.
From here, we decided to ride Alien Swirling Saucers. While waiting in line, we actually placed our mobile lunch order at Woody's Lunchbox. Another perk of my research, I knew that we needed to place this order really early if we wanted to eat at a decent lunch time, as all the mobile order time slots disappear quickly. Even this early, our return time was 2:15, which may seem late for some people, but we like this because we can snack throughout the day and only eat one meal inside the park.
This was actually LittleCGC's first time on this ride. She had fun.
Again, because of my research on line trends in this park, we chose to not ride Slinky Dog now and instead decided to move out of Toy Story Land. We decided at this time, to go to Star Tours. Patrick and LittleCJC got in line, while LittleCGC and I found the Disney Jr. calvacade.

After swapping places, LittleCGC got to ride again with me, while Patrick checked out the new Baseline Tap shop for a beer. Since he had a drink, the girls thought they needed one too, so we went back to Galaxy's Edge and got some blue milk.
While here, we found Chewbacca and Rey out greeting guest. LittleCGC said that Chewy was a monkey.
After our visit and drinks, we made our way back towards Star Tours. We wanted to get out of the crowded Galaxy's Edge to find a more secluded location to try to get a boarding group during the afternoon drop. We found some benches in the shade just past the Backstage Lot restaurant. As the time got closer, it was obvious that everyone around us was there for the same reason. It was at this point that we tried explaining this process to LittleCJC. She didn't understand why we were just sitting here, so we explained what we were doing and tried stressing how difficult it would be and we pointed out everyone else doing the same thing. Thankfully, we were successful.
It was interesting, you could hear people cheering with excitement, but you also saw so many sad faces of those who were not as lucky. I think this was good for LittleCJC to see so that she knew how lucky she was to get to ride this one ride, even though we still had to wait a while.
With the stress lifted, we made our way back to Toy Story Land to eat our late lunch. Now that our bellies were happy again, we decided to make our way over to Disney Jr. Play and Dance. This and the Frozen Singalong were the only shows that had opened back up here. Patrick stopped to get some popcorn and some drinks, but the line was getting a little full, so the girls and I went ahead and joined the line. The castmember did close the line after we joined so we were happy we decided to join without Dad. We didn't want to be those people, so we didn't try to get him in, but he totally could have joined us. Each party had their own circle, and as we entered, the castmembers working the door said they had plenty of space left. So, not exactly sure what was happening here, but we were just happy that we got this in for LittleCGC.
She was so excited to see Doc.
She was also excited to see Mickey.
Even LittleCJC had fun dancing, but of course, she wouldn't let me catch that on camera.
When the show ended, we met back up with Daddy and crossed the park again. We were so excited it was time for our boarding group to be called. Patrick and LittleCJC rode first while I waited out with LittleCGC.
She was pretty excited, especially since she learned of all the struggles we went through to get on the ride.
Even the queue line here is pretty exciting.
We had all seen these pictures of the stormtroopers, but they don't do this scene justice.
Meanwhile, LittleCGC fell asleep almost immediately. She fell asleep while eating some popcorn, and she was distanced in her stroller, and we found a secluded area with no one around, so I left her mask down so she could freely breath.
LittleCJC was in a new Star Wars level after getting off the ride.
I was so excited when it was my turn to ride with her, and she was excited to show me everything.
Entering through the fastpass lane, we did miss the standard queue, but we met up with the standby line in time to see BB8 and Rey.
To call this a ride, almost doesn't do it justice. It's an entire experience truly unlike any other theme park experience.
While LittleCJC and I were on the ride, Patrick decided to explore Galaxy's Edge.
This was fine, except he got called out for the sleeping child not having a mask over her nose even while she was sleeping. I know it's their rule and our choice to come here while that rule is in place, and I'm all for following the rules, but I thought this one was a little harsh. She's already socially distanced in the stroller and just over the 2 year old requirement, but again, it's their rule so Patrick was quick to comply.
Feeling successful for getting Rise of the Resistance done, we had one more new attraction here that we still needed to get done.
Before getting in line, we came across the Pixar cavalcade.
We then got into the crazy zigzag line out in the courtyard in front of the chinese theater. Thankfully, this one moved quickly.
We were all excited to finally get on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Honestly, I would have loved to get a second ride on this one, but it didn't work out that way for me. When we got off this fun attraction, we traveled back to Galaxy's Edge to ride Millennium Falcon. I know it seems like we were just bouncing all over this park, but I think we had the right idea with hitting each attraction with the lowest wait times possible. Thankfully, this park is the smallest so it's not too bad to follow this method.
While LittleCGC and I waited, we were able to visit with a friend that works here in Galaxy's Edge. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures this time with this dear friend. After swapping riders, we were able to move on, back to Toy Story Land. We had one more big attraction that we needed to get to, and we had no option but to wait. Thankfully, it didn't take as long as the wait time suggested. LittleCJC and Dad waited in line, while LittleCGC and I went back to Alien Swirling Saucers for another ride there.
We were able to switch, allowing LittleCJC to ride Slinky Dog again, this time with me.
Since Alien Swirling Saucers didn't really have a line at this point, LittleCGC got another ride with Dad, while LittleCJC and I were on Slinky Dog.
When we got done in Toy Story Land, we had about 10 minutes until the park closed. We gave LittleCJC the option to try to hussle over to Rock n' Roller Coaster for a second ride, with the chance of not making it, or riding Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad again. She chose Rock n' Roller Coaster. So, LittleCJC and I took off and walked as fast as we could to Sunset Boulevard. We made it, and LittleCJC was happy to end her night on Rock n' RollerCoaster.
Instead of LittleCGC and Dad hussling with us, they chose LittleCJC's rejected option of a re-ride on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad.
Although this day was stressful, everything ended up great and we had a fabulous day. By the time we got back to the room, LittleCJC was exhausted, but LittleCGC wasn't ready for bed yet. I guess the nap she took in the park was better than we thought.
